Internship Program

Youth Internship Program

The Urban Farm Stands include a Youth Leadership Development internship program. Through this program, community youth (ages 14-18) receive training in farm stand operation and community leadership. This program focuses on providing the interns with knowledge of the benefits of fresh produce to overall health and disease prevention, as well as the differences in conventional and organic produce.

The involvement of youth interns will provide them with essential job skills and increased positive interaction with adults.  Youth are involved in community outreach and educating public officials and staff.

If you are between the ages of 14-18 and would like to apply for an internship, please contact Davida Douglas at davida@alchemistcdc.org or 916-204-8260.

Internships Available for College and University Students

Alchemist CDC regularly works with college and university students (pre and post-graduate) to offer them an exciting opportunity to work directly with community members. Students gain hands-on work and service experience, and Alchemist’s projects benefit greatly from the knowledge and enthusiasm of its interns.

Alchemist currently has two unpaid intern positions available for Urban Farm Stand Assistant. Click here for a more detailed job description.

To apply for an internship, please submit your resume via email to: davida@alchemistcdc.org
